Our wet plate portrait studio is located in the Edwardian spa town of Te Aroha
All wet plate pricing includes one original plate (Tintype) and a web resolution digital copy. High resolution files are not provided, however fine art prints are available on request.
During development, it’s quite common for artifacts to appear on the plate. Should they detract from the image we can re shoot.
Plates are available framed or unframed. For framing, please allow two weeks for delivery.
Please allow for a minimum of one hour per session.

PHOTO RESTORATIONS & DIGITIZATION
We digitize and restore fragile glass plates, vintage photographs, slides and negatives.

THE EVENING SESSIONS
Bring your favourite people, some BYO, order in a takeaway and spend the evening learning all about this historical photographic process. At the end of the session, you will leave with a unique and original hand-made portrait (5x4 tintype) and a complimentary digital file of the image.
Minimum, 2 people.
Weeknights, 6pm - late

POP UPS
Our van is available for private and corporate events. If you have an event coming up and would like to host our tintype studio as part of your celebrations, we would love to talk.
